About work:

In recent years, online social networks have become an integral part of the lives of most people in the civilized world and have changed them dramatically, inevitably having a greater or lesser impact on the lives of even those who do not use social media. These platforms have become a powerful promotional tool for those looking to sell their goods, whatever they may be: objects, entertainment, services, ideas, public image, etc.

My Master’s thesis is an ironic, satirical reflection on how, in my view, social media platforms affect people’s thought process and behavior. Being a part of these online platforms myself, I try to use humour as a lense through which to look at the cult of perfection, the cult of body, narcissism and the insane competitiveness, which are heavily promoted on online social networks and which often cause various psychological disorders to their users.
