About work:

I created this artwork while mostly thinking about American troops in WW1 and Vietnam and USSR army in Afghanistan but it perfect suits today’s situation when Putin sends Russians to invade Ukraine. Sent to fight these absurd wars people come back to their countries mentally and physically maimed or dead. Leaving after themselves dead bodies and destroyed lifes in those counties where they were never invited. Blinded by glorious war stories they joyfully go straight into the slaughterhouse. Soon all the enthusiasm is gone. Soon they see that there is nothing romantic in war, only a mix of blood, mud and flesh. They understand that war is a racket when it is too late.
